Vikings Land In Charlotte

Posted by Mike Wobschall on December 19, 2009 – 5:40 pm

A wicked winter storm system has caused massive disruption up and down the East coast, forcing the NFL to alter its Sunday schedule. The Chicago Bears have even had trouble leaving the city for Baltimore for their game against the Ravens tomorrow.

We had no such trouble this afternoon and have landed in Charlotte for tomorrow night’s game against the Panthers. The team has settled into the hotel and will set its sights on final preparations for tomorrow night’s contest.

The forecast for Charlotte tomorrow calls for no snow but chilly temperatures, with a low tomorrow night of 24 degrees. The destructive winter storm system appears to be well clear of the Charlotte area.

Hopefully it stays that way.

The Vikes are used to the cold? The last time I looked they played in a temperature controlled dome. The only two guys used to playing in the cold are the two ex-packers Favre and Longwell.

True, they may live in a cold weather city, but, they don’t play in the cold, so, no, they aren’t used to it, besides the 2 u mentioned above…Looking forward to how we’ll play tonight…The Panthers may not be agood team this year, but, u dont get wins by showing up with a better record, they are gonna play hard, it’s a prime-time game, so, they are going to come with all they’ve got, if we shut down their running game, we should win, put the game into the hands/arm of QB Matt Moore. I hope we continue on offense like last week, this is the time of year where teams who are physical tend to win games. Dallas, for example, out-physicaled the Saints last night, normally teams who are finesse dont do well at this time of year, our boyz hopefully wont overlook this game, they should be a bit P-O’d from the last time we played on SN vs. Arizona, so that should be int he back of our players’ minds, they will be ready tonight.
