Vikings Tweaking Roster

Posted by Mike Wobschall on December 9, 2009 – 7:42 am

With the injury to LB E.J. Henderson on Sunday night, the Vikings will make adjustments to their roster in the coming days.

The first adjustment came yesterday when the team terminated the contract of practice squad DB DeAndre Wright. There will likely be at least one other roster move coming today and/or later this week, but we won’t list it here until it becomes official.

Stay tuned for updates.

Well, it’s all speculation, but, the only reason they would terminate a contract is to free up room to sign another player, most likely a veteran player…who could it be?…will be interesting to find out…Tedy Bruschi, anyone??…I doubt that or Derrick Brooks like a lot of ppl have been saying…bring back Scott Studwell, ha.

Mark Chumura!!!!!!!! or Terry Glenn!!!!!! Seriously was Chewy banned from the league for the incident with the underaged babysitter?

Brooks is a OLB though, it would be tough enough to start with a new team but then to ask him to play MLB?? I think not.

You want to tweek the roster? Hey Childress, try using Tahi more in the backfield with Peterson to open up the running game. I see it week in and week out that the reason “AD” isn’t getting the big yardage numbers are because every defense is keying on him. When you use Tahi along with Kleinsasser in the line up, Peterson usually breaks the big ones.
I say give it to Chester Taylor more in the first quarter along with Tahi and Kleinsasser getting their share. When the opposing defense has softened a bit, let Peterson run wild. If not, kiss your chances good by of ever winning the Super Bowl.
I have been watching the Vikings since 1968 and this team has the best balanced of talent ever! Spread it around and use it wisely.
