Friday Morning Injury Update

Posted by Mike Wobschall on November 27, 2009 – 7:54 am

We haven’t mentioned here in the Blog anything about the Vikings Wednesday or Thursday injury reports. You can take a look at them by clicking here.

But if you don’t want to click the link, here’s a quick summary…

WR Bernard Berrian (hamstring), RB Adrian Peterson (ankle) and CB Antoine Winfield (foot) have been limited both days. Berrian has been dealing with a lingering hamstring issue for several weeks but has suited up all season and has scored 2 TDs in the last 3 games. Winfield has missed the last 4 games with his foot injury but he said earlier this week that he’s “looking forward to getting out there on Sunday.

LB E.J. Henderson (knee) and CB Benny Sapp (groin) have been able to practice in full this week.

G Anthony Herrera (concussion) has been held out of both practices and FB Fahu Tahi (ankle) was limited on Wednesday and was held out on Thursday.

The Vikings will practice on late this morning and the week’s final injury report will be issue soon thereafter. Also, head coach Brad Childress will meet with reporters following practice.

I would let A.P. and Berrian sit this week. Jaworski made some comments about Chris Johson and who is the best running back in the league….When this season is over, Johnson may have a rushing title, but he will be home watching A.P. playing for much more.
Herrera definitely should be held out. I’m trying to remember who would play on the depth chart. Cooper or Cook? Rest Big Anthony and let these other guys taste some red meat- it’s good for them. As much as I hated seeing Winfield out same goes for his depth chart guys. Real good experience for those guys.
The game plan for the Bears: HIT SOMEBODY!!!!! Big Pat going Outlaw….YO!!

I forgot about Hicks being able to play guard also. NO WORRIES. Let Herrera sit it out. Hicks would start on many teams!! Childress brought him over from the Eagles as well. I must admit. I do miss ( not too much) screaming obscenities over some of Chilli’s calls in the past, but there is no arguing with what he has built. What’s that he says….he has a little swagger these days? Just a suggestion coach, don’t wear a wig and lipstick on away games, some people might change it from swagger to sashay. P.S. You are one ugly broad!

Don”t take a chance of losing not one game. If they can start (AP, AW, BB, etc), let them. Just rest them more with the depth chart. I’ve been waiting for a SB since 1968. ‘Feet don’t fail me now’!!!
