Vikings-Cardinals Game Flexed To Sunday Night

Posted by mikewobschall on November 24, 2009 – 10:02 am

The NFC North-leading Vikings will travel to Arizona in Week 13 to play the NFC West-leading Cardinals in a game that was originally scheduled for a 3:15 p.m. CT kickoff, but it was announced today that the game will be flexed into NBC’s Sunday night time slot of 7:30 p.m. CT.

The week 13 matchup represents a rematch of a game between the two clubs last year in December – a game the Vikings dominated early and won 35-14.

The Vikings host Chicago this week while the Cardinals travel to Tennessee.

I read in USATODAY way back in August that Phil Simms,
CBS Commentator said that getting Brett Favre was a waste of time and that T.Jackson can do just as well
in the west coast system that Favre can do.; because
Jackson has been with the vikings several years now and has been steadily improving and this should be his breakout year so don’t waste your time going after
    Brett Favre.
I WONDER WHAT PHIL SIMMS IS THINKING NOW….I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR HIS COMMENTS…I’VE ALSO NOTICED HE HAS NOT DONE ANY VIKING GAMES WHEN THEY WERE ON CBS.
( Just for the record all his colleagues disagreed
    with Simms 100%.)

well simms is eating the biggest crow out there.I have read some readers say they would rather see the dolphins play the prime time game and they must be crazy. Not just because I’m a vikes fan but I want to see competitive games at the end but I guess this may not be either lol.

Let’s hope they don’t move our 20/Dec game with CAR from primetime to a noon slot, because just like MIA no one wants to watch a team out of it play against a powerhouse (like NE); and because we will have just two weeks earlier played a Sunday night game. But, luckily, there are no other games that Sunday that look so attractive… GB/BAL is the only other one between two above .500 teams.

Sorry, that’s GB/PIT not GB/BAL in the previous post.

sure, cruz, there’s even a possibility they’d flex our cin game and we’d play three consecutive sunday night games…

Cruz – I agree about the Bengals game. Unfortunately, it is late enough in the season where both teams will likely have already clinched their divisions, the way things are going.

It’s not important when these games are played. It is important that the Vikes WIN them and do everything possible to secure at least a #2 seed in the NFC. The #1 seed seed is still there for the taken……They have a 2 game lead thus far for the #2 seed, but obviously #1 is better so they will not have to travel anywhere…..I think 15-1 or 14-2 will get them the #1 seed….NO will lose at least twice….this weekend and against Dallas, and maybe against Atlanta and Carolina also…..so the Vikes can’t let up at all.

Fogman, the news item is about WHEN the game is played. Of course we all want MN to win, but we are commenting about the new story posted, thus the comments about WHEN the game is played.
