Thank A Veteran On Veterans Day

Posted by Mike Wobschall on November 11, 2009 – 6:50 am

Today marks the day when we get back into the swing of things and go full speed ahead to get ready for this weekend’s game between the Vikings and Detroit Lions. After a bye last week, the team and its fan base is anxious for another game as the Vikings continue their defense of the division championship.

But before we get going today with numerous blog entries about Antoine Winfield’s foot and the return of Lions WR Calvin Johnson and the play of Brett Favre in the 2nd half of the season, take a moment to call or personally thank the military veterans in your life.

It’s because of the bravery and courage of our veterans that we as American citizens are able to enjoy things such as freedom, security and even football.

So thanks, veterans, we appreciate the job you’ve done to serve and protect all of us.
