Harvin Will Play

Vikings WR Percy Harvin, who dealt with a shoulder ailment all week and missed practice time, was not on the list of inactive players for the Vikings today in their game against the Ravens.

Harvin’s availability is important for the Vikings depth today because WR Darius Reynaud was on the list of inactive players. With Reynaud out, the Vikings need to fill his responsibilities on special teams as a punt returner as well as offensively as a WR (Jaymar Johnson will be active and will fulfill both roles).

If the Ravens blitz heavily today, Harvin could be an important weapon. Often blitzing forces a defense to cover WRs man-to-man and Harvin has proven to be a tough man to bring down in space.

Great that Harvin is active. He will be key for us today. I am pumped up for today’s game, I am anxious to see how we fare against a great defense, even though the Ravens may not be as good as last year, they still have #52 and #20, both future HOF’s. We all know that whichever QB plays mistake-free and makes “plays”, probably will come away with the win. Also, and I mean this, special teams will be HUGE today. I believe both teams will neutralize each other on both sides of the ball. I honestly believe that whichever teams’ ST unit plays big will determine the winner of this game, or at least will have a major impact in determining the winner of this game.

PAVikesFan, Both teams did neutralize each other offensively and defencesivley. You were right, and special teams lost this game.
