ESPN the Mag Predictions

Posted by Mike Wobschall on September 1, 2009 – 6:10 pm

Forgot to mention in the previous post the predictions included in ESPN the Magazine’s NFL Preview edition. The magazine did a cool thing this year by have a consensus prediction, but also predictions from its 2 Monday Night Football analysts – Jon Gruden and Ron Jaworski.

The magazine forecasts the Bears as NFC North champs with the Vikings getting into the playoffs via the Wildcard. They have the Chargers and Giants meeting in the Super Bowl with San Diego coming out on top.

Gruden and Jaworski both have the Vikings winning the NFC North. Jaworski has the Vikings losing to the Patriots in the Super Bowl and Gruden has the Vikings falling short in the playoffs, with the Patriots defeating the Saints in the Super Bowl.

Brady’s linemen are going to be too beat up by the time they get to the superbowl. Our D-line is going to be reved up and blood hungry and force Brady to throw 2 ints while taking 4 more sacks. End rezult: 17-13 Vikes win the Superbowl!
