The Action Continues at Winter Park

Posted by Mike Wobschall on August 19, 2009 – 11:13 am

The Brett Favre-Minnesota Vikings union was big news yesterday and continues to grab headlines today. But inside Winter Park, the organization is moving forward and continuing preparations for both this Friday’s preseason game against the Chiefs and also the regular season.

The team will hold 1 practice today at 11:45 inside the field house (due to inclement weather), and Vikings assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will meet with reporters following that practice.

We’ll have plenty of updates all day on vikings.com, so stay tuned here.

I’ve been a long time viking fan. I have watched several packers vs. vikings games and I can honestly say I didn’t like seeing Brett win the game on a last drive. Don’t listen to what Tarkington is saying because he is jeolous of the fact that he NEVER won a Superbowl, and you have a good chance with the Vikes at age 39. I’m BURNING my Tarkington jersey.

What is Fran saying? I guess the name isn’t on the back since you cannot spell it. “Fran Tarkenton” is up there with Thor as far as Viking figures go. I would not tempt the Gods by burning his jersey – if you actually have one. For some of Fran’s career there wasn’t a superbowl, so the NFL championship of which he won several was nothing to sneeze at. Let cooler heads prevail and judge what is predicted by what happens. I think Bret will add to the team.
